In yogic tradition it is said that one should start practicing in around September or March as these two months mark the transition phase of seasons in India, and it should be practiced early morning or in the evening as transition happens in these hours too. The human body comes to a neutral state in these times and it helps the progression of Sadhana(practice).
Yoga is not a practice limited by time or class schedule. It is a lifestyle that a Sadhaka must follow in order to reach the ultimate state physically, mentally and spiritually. With time this lifestyle turned into couple of hours of Asana practice, other aspects of this practice are left untouched.
